Mr Hajime Sato is returning to Japan after nine years in Europe, first as Managing Director, then as President. He will be heading up a new global aftermarket headquarters facility, based in Japan. This is an important development for KYB, to develop and strengthen worldwide aftermarket business.
Mr Shinichi Hayashi will become the new President of KYB Europe. He joined KYB in 1977 and has worked in many departments during his career, including shipping, purchasing, hydraulic exports and then aftermarket. For the past four years Mr Hayashi has been Managing Director of KYB Asia’s aftermarket business.
Hajime Sato, outgoing President of KYB Europe, commented: “The creation of a global aftermarket headquarters is an important move for KYB as part of our long term strategy to be the number one supplier both across Europe and worldwide”.
KYB is the world’s largest supplier of original equipment shock absorbers to manufacturers (OEMs) around the world, including Audi-VW Group, Ford, Mitsubishi, PSA, Renault, BMW, Nissan and Toyota.  A quarter of all new cars leaving production lines worldwide are fitted with KYB shocks as original equipment.
